Following my Wisdom
My journey to becoming a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and Performance Coach ultimately came out of my own struggles. I began my career as a professional freelance musician, playing double bass with many of the top orchestras in the UK and abroad. At the same time I was maintaining a large private piano and bass teaching studio in South London. Although I was achieving what I wanted, I was plagued with self-doubt, low confidence and self-esteem, and experiencing debilitating performance anxiety. I was also suffering quite severe chronic pain and injury from the combination of sustained hours of playing my instrument, and my overall level of anxiety.
It was my belief that I could do something about this which led me to a brilliant Cognitive Hypnotherapist. With his help I transformed my life in the most remarkable way. One of the biggest achievements was overcoming my performance anxiety. To mark this new chapter in my life I decided to restart lessons on the piano which was my second instrument, and soon after achieved an LTCL diploma in piano performance. Having overcome my nerves, I started to believe that I could be the pianist I’ve always dreamt of being. I now perform regularly as a soloist in venues across London.
Coming Full Circle
With my newfound zest for life, and feeling inspired by my potential to recreate myself, I discovered what would become the other half of my dream. I decided to train in the very thing which turned my life around, and I became a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and specialist Performance Coach. It only seemed fitting since I had always had a strong desire to help others, and learning about human behaviour and psychology had always had a natural attraction to me. I completed my Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Master Practitioner of NLP at the Quest Institute with Cognitive Hypnotherapy’s founder, Trevor Silvester. I’m currently developing my Coaching skills further through the Clarity Academy with internationally renowned coach and consultant Jamie Smart.
Let’s have a conversation
I just love the work I do now, helping people like you not just with the kind of problems I faced, but many other problems too. It’s just so fascinating, challenging and stimulating, and hugely rewarding. At the end of a journey with a client, I just love seeing the transformation of a person free to live their own life without limits, the excitement it brings me to see that person discover for themselves what they are really about, where they will go next with their life and their true motivation for living.
So if this has fired you up and you think you’d like to explore more about the possibility of us working together, get in touch and let’s have a conversation. I’m all ears!
